Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Babs ("Babs", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Babs website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in with a third-party account such as Google, we receive the basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) that provider shares with us for authentication purposes.
- Content you create. Posts, media you upload, and any personality or brand profile text you write.
- Connected platform information. When you connect a social media account (X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn, or Threads), we store the information needed to publish on your behalf — the platform, your account handle, display name, and avatar. We do not receive or store your social platform password; connections are authorized through OAuth.
- Activity data. Records of publish attempts and their status (for example, scheduled, published, or failed), so you can see what happened to each post.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the Service: to authenticate you, publish and schedule posts to the accounts you connect, show your dashboard and activity feed, and provide support when you contact us.
How we share information
We do not sell your information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to provide it:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Composio — connecting to and publishing on your authorized social media accounts.
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, file storage, and content delivery.
Use of Google user data
If you choose to sign in with Google, Babs's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable. We use Google account information solely to authenticate you and identify your account — never for advertising, and never shared with third parties beyond what's necessary to operate the Service as described above.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing tech@mysms.promo. We will delete your account data within a reasonable time after a verified request, except where we're required to retain it by law.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted transport and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
